You’re allowed to be wrong

You are not omnipotent. You can’t see the future. Any decision made is essentially done without “all” the information.

Sometimes this creates fear — a fear of making a mistake, which stops us from even starting (or drags out the decision process for far too long).

Here are some questions to ask yourself to mitigate that fear:

  • Is this decision directionally correct?
  • Will you revisit the decision’s effectiveness at a later date?
  • Can this decision easily be reverted?

If the answer to all three is “yes”, then move forward already!

You may be wrong, but it ensures you’ll have the necessary feedback loops so that you’ll at least learn along the way.
