“Both” is not a Decision

“Both” is not strategic, effective, or “smart”

“Both” is more money, wasted effort, and wasted time

Sometimes we try to straddle two approaches in a desire to mitigate the risk of any one option. Instead, it prevents us from moving powerfully down one path by diffusing our efforts into multiple directions.

Ever tried:

  • Dating multiple people at the same time?
  • Studying multiple majors at the same time?
  • Believing in multiple religions at the same time?

It’s obviously a recipe for exhaustion and disaster.

But when it comes to our employment, we often think “we can do it all”.

And in that moment, we decide to fail.
